More than 15 years ago, the Highland Valley Pipes & Drums from Borculo came up with the idea of organizing a Celtic night in Borculo together with an orchestra, a choir and an Irish dance group. Due to the great success of this concept, production continued under the name "Music Show Scotland". Back then it was still a dream to be in a sold-out large arena.

15 years have passed and the Music Show Scotland has undergone a stormy development. From the sports hall ’t Timpke in small Borculo to Rotterdam Ahoy and the GelreDome in Arnhem to several beautiful arenas in Europe. Shows in the Hallenstadion in Zurich (Switzerland), in the JyskeBank Boxen in Herning (Denmark), in the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin and in the Sportpaleis Antwerp (Belgium) are now part of the annual tour schedule. The cast grew to over 300 pipers, drummers, musicians, dancers and crew members. And everything is organized from A to Z by Beerten Events from Borculo, where it started out small. A huge production that was worked on with great passion. The dream came true.

Now, after 15 years, new plans for the Music Show Scotland have emerged. Beerten Events wants to build its own concert hall in Borculo, home of the Music Show Scotland. The grandstands in the concert hall will accommodate more than 3000 visitors and other music productions will also be able to take place there. The concert hall is in the form of an event center and will be called "The Castle". Preparations are in full swing and the organization had to make the decision to temporarily stop the production of the show in its current form from 2023 onwards.
